Technical knowledge

Networking: Cisco Certified Network Associate. Experience working with Cisco (and other) managed switches, DHCP, access point setup, VLANs, etc.

Consoles: DiGiCo SD and Quantum (standard and theatre software), Yamaha QL, Allen & Heath SQ and QU, and Midas M32. Can learn new devices quickly.

Wireless: Sennheiser Evolution Wireless G4/G3 (microphones, IEMs) and Sennheiser Digital 6000. Fitting headset and hairline microphones to performers. Wireless coordination. Use of Sennheiser Wireless Systems Manager and Shure Wireless Workbench.

Software: Ableton Live, QLab 5, iZotope RX, TheatreMix, WaveTool, Meyer Compass.

Video: Routing and use of SDI and analog video feeds, along with camera and projector configuration. Configuration of Blackmagic Videohub routers (and other) devices.

Comms: Configuration of Clear-Com HelixNet and Riedel Bolero systems, Clear-Com two-wire (analog) comms setup and management.

Personal monitoring: Experience working with Roland REAC / M-48 and Aviom systems.

Training

Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate, Yellow Card EWP Licence (Scissor, Boom, Vertical), Working With Children Check, Fire Warden training, Driver’s Licence (Vic.).

Electronics: Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering Systems) - The University of Melbourne.

Design training: First class honours in Sound in Performance (sound design), Light in Performance (lighting design) and Space in Performance (set design) subjects from the University of Melbourne.

Online training: Shure Pro Audio 1-3, Shure Wireless Masterclass, Dante Levels 1-2. (Dec 2023)
